Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 3 June 2025
Local Brew LLC ("Tap", "we", "our") provides the Tap web and mobile app (the "Services"): an AI‑powered scheduling assistant, task manager, and meeting‑note tool. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and share it.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information – your name, email address, phone number (optional), company name, and hashed password.
- Calendar & scheduling data – events, attendees, availability windows, meeting titles, and locations you provide.
- Content you create or upload – tasks, meeting agendas, notes, files, and preferences.
- Integrated services data – information we pull from third‑party services (e.g., Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Gmail) after you grant permission.
- Usage & device data – log files, IP address, browser type, device identifiers, interaction timestamps.
- Payment data – last four digits of your card, billing address, Stripe customer ID. Full card details are processed and stored by Stripe, not by Tap.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide & operate the Services – create your account, sync calendars, send notifications, and keep things running.
- Improve & develop features – analyze aggregated usage trends to fix bugs and build new tools.
- Communicate with you – respond to support requests, send product updates, and relay administrative messages.
- Ensure security & prevent misuse – detect spam, abuse, or other harmful activity.
- Legal compliance – satisfy tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
Use of Google Workspace API Data – We do not use any data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine‑learning models.
3. When We Share Information
We share information only:
- With trusted service providers that help us run the Services (cloud hosting, email delivery, payments, analytics). They must keep it confidential and use it only for us.
- With other people you interact with – for example, event details are sent to attendees when you schedule a meeting.
- For legal or safety reasons – if we are required to by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of anyone.
- As part of a business transfer – if Tap is acquired or merges with another company. We’ll notify you if that happens.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Storage & Retention
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services servers in the United States. We keep your information while you have an active account. If you delete your account, we erase or anonymize associated data within 90 days, except data we must keep longer for legal reasons (e.g., billing history).
5. Security
We protect your information with industry‑standard safeguards, including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Password hashing.
- Role‑based access controls and logging.
Remember that no internet transmission or storage system is ever guaranteed 100% secure.
6. Your Choices
